Yuhe Li

Hi! I am a rising fourth-year PhD student in Economics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. My work draws on labor economics, industrial organization, and game theory to study the economics of generative AI.

I study the dynamic impacts of generative AI on workers, firms, and the online knowledge commons. My current research focuses on the innovation and competition of AI firms, AI benchmarking, as well as how AI impacts skill formation and the production and use of public knowledge resources.

I combine theory and empirical analysis to better understand how dynamic impacts of generative AI may differ from static effects.
